The official feeder series to Malaysia's most competitive sim racing championship. Prove your pace. Earn your seat.
H1GP Academy is the official development and feeder series of the H1GP Sim Racing Championship — Malaysia's most competitive online motorsport competition. Designed to identify and cultivate the next generation of H1GP talent, Academy provides a structured, competitive environment where ambitious drivers can put themselves in the shop window.
Running on rFactor 2 using the Tatuus FT-60, Academy mirrors the full H1GP race weekend experience: same event schedule, same session structure, same points system. The key difference is that all cars are equal and unmodified — there is no upgrade system. This is pure driver performance, nothing else.
Outstanding performers in H1GP Academy will be noticed by H1GP teams actively scouting for talent to bring into the main championship.
Think you've got what it takes to race in H1GP? This is where you prove it.
The Tatuus FT-60 is a purpose-built single-seater designed for driver development at the highest level. Originally used in the Toyota Racing Series and regional Formula 4 championships, it strikes the ideal balance between downforce, mechanical grip, and raw driving feel.
In H1GP Academy, the FT-60 is run with all driving assists disabled — no traction control, no ABS, no stability systems. It demands commitment, precision, and full respect for the limits of the car.
Unlike H1GP, there is no upgrade system in Academy. Every car on the grid is identical. The only variable is the driver behind the wheel.
H1GP Academy is open to all sim racers — any nationality, any age. But there is one important restriction.
If you hold a full-time seat in the H1GP Championship, you may not enter H1GP Academy. Academy is for drivers who have yet to secure that seat — not those who already have one.
Any driver not on a full-time H1GP lineup is welcome to enter. No age restriction. No nationality restriction. No minimum experience requirement — just the ability to race safely and respectfully.
You must own a legitimate copy of rFactor 2 on Steam with access to Steam Workshop. A steering wheel and pedals are required — keyboard and mouse are not permitted. Active membership of the H1GP Discord is mandatory.
H1GP Academy runs the same event format as H1GP. Here's exactly how they compare.
Each H1GP team runs their own Academy programme. Pick the car livery you want to represent, then join that team's Discord to register your interest.
